Educational kids baking boxes that taste good and do good too!

17th August 2022, today, online baking kits producer and retailer, Britain Loves Baking, has announced the launch of Kids Loves Baking.

Their new brand will offer a range of affordable baking kits and courses. It will be distributed through free delivery community-based collection points. The businesses providing the distribution points will also gain much needed income through a revenue sharing model.

All the kits and boxes come with everything weighed out and measured, so there is no stress and no waste. The only ingredients to be added are a few eggs. No hidden costs or further extras will help buyers budget in these challenging times. The range includes a bread making kit, a shortbread baking kit and an oat, fruit & nut biscuit kit.  Prices start at just £3.85 - which is on average 70% cheaper than major online retailers.

Kids Love Baking is on a mission to help create a future where nobody goes hungry. The brand aims to teach kids more about where their food comes from and raise funds to help food charities and schools teach kids to bake. It will also help disadvantaged young people turn their big food ideas into reality through their Freshly Baked Grants, and by offering space and mentorship within their production facility in Park Royal, London.

The “Tastes Good, Does Good” business model came about after months of wasted product and lost revenue due to failed and damaged deliveries by courier companies. The company’s founder then started working with ReLondon - a partnership of the Mayor of London and London’s boroughs – on how to reduce waste and create a more sustainable business modeFou

Founder and CEO, Greg Wixted commented on today’s launch:

“Kids Love Baking as always been bubbling away in the back of my mind. I knew I wanted to recreate the same excitement I got as a kid with those magazines you bought and over 2 months you made something. The joy of getting your pocket money, rushing to the shop, picking up a copy, running home and starting to make the wing of plane or door of car. I wanted to do the same but for baking. So kids would learn a valuable skill and learn more about where food comes from, as I did with those airplane wings!

My time spent with ReLondon then helped us to refine the ideas and come up with the delivery model and freshly baked grants, so we could create a truly sustainable business model that will help build a future where nobody goes hungry”.

Over the summer months the Kids Loves Baking range will be available at a series of food festivals and several collections points. Britain Loves Baking customers can also order the products online and collect for free from their Park Royal facility or have 3 boxes delivered for just £2.
